Charter Teaching

"My advice to prospective teachers is to actively pursue a charter school placement.  In doing so, you'll be part of the education solution.  But be prepared to work.  You and your students will be held to a higher standard."

Information Sessions

Need more information? As you consider applying for Teach California Charters, we highly recommend that you attend one of our regularly scheduled Information Sessions. Although not required for the application process, Information Sessions give applicants the chance to learn more about this exciting opportunity.

The format of an Information Session includes a brief overview of the program and a question and answer period with a Teach California Charters staff member. Information sessions held in Los Angeles and the Bay Area will also feature a current charter school teacher who will share their charter experiences and be available to answer any additional questions candidates may have.

Information Sessions are a great opportunity to learn more about charter schools and usually last for about one hour and take place at different times and locations throughout the year.

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2008-2009 school year.  For more information about teaching in California, please visit www.ctc.ca.gov.  For more information about California charter schools, please visit www.myschool.org.

We have no more information sessions scheduled for this year.  If you would like to learn more about Teach California Charters, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
