Why should I apply to work at a Teach California Charters school?
Use your knowledge and experience to ensure that California’s hard working students get California’s hardest working teachers. As a Teach California Charter teacher, you will join a network of like-minded professionals dedicated to working alongside you to improve public schools. This is your opportunity to take action.
What kind of background do I need?
Teach California Charters accepts applications from credentialed teachers. It is a highly selective program that is looking for experienced educators who can demonstrate leadership and achievement.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (conferred by July 2008) with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Applicants must be authorized and eligible to teach in United States. Applicants may not have a felony record.
How do I apply?
We are no longer accepting applications for the 2008-2009 school year. For more information about teaching in California, please visit www.ctc.ca.gov. For more information about California charter schools, please visit www.myschool.org.
What happens after I apply?

Exceptional credentialed candidates who pass through our rigorous screening process will be referred directly to school leaders for possible school based interviews.
All candidates will receive information via email regarding their application status within two weeks of submitting a completed application.
How long is this commitment?
We are looking for teachers that will make a permanent commitment to public education in the Teach California Charters schools.

Do I need to be a resident of California to apply?
No. You do not need to be a resident of California to apply. Our schools attract the best teachers from across the country, and we encourage out of state candidates to apply.
You should, however, expect that you will be asked to travel to California for in-person interviewing at school sites prior to being hired.
Are credentialed teachers eligible to apply?
Credentialed teachers are encouraged to apply to Teach California Charters. This program is designed for current teachers committed to working as hard as possible to continue to ensure that California’s most challenged students succeed in high-performing charter schools.
